This morning the Honor Bell was released from its mold at the Verdin Foundry. Members of military artifact donor Robert Abbott Jr.’s family along with Honor Bell Foundation staff took part in helping to knock the sandy matrix away from the bronze bell (with a lot of assistance from experienced Verdin craftsmen and their jackhammers). After about an hour of work, the bell was revealed! It will now be ground and polished, and engraved with the Honor Bell logo and its slogan, “Forged From Honor”.
