We had young and old admirers checking out the Honor Bell last month when we took it out to Kiowa High School for a presentation. We are happy to visit with kids around the Front Range and talk about the importance of military service and our veterans.
“Thank you for your service”, a saying many us instruct our children to tell a veteran when they see one. But do children really know what the “service” is that they are thanking the veteran for? The Honor Bell Foundation’s Education Program aims to help Colorado’s children understand the invaluable roles active-duty and veteran service members play in our society. It is so important to us to help students understand the sacrifice veterans have made throughout history to keep America’s freedoms strong.
