A virtual tolling includes the entire honor process with a Bell Guard but no observers. The tolling is videotaped/filmed, and the recording is sent to the deceased veteran's family. Virtual tolling is performed when a survivor requests, and the Honor Bell was unavailable at the time of the deceased veteran's interment. There are two subcategories of Virtual Tolling. a. When the Honor Bell Foundation cannot attend a requested service because of a scheduling conflict. b. When the request is in memory or in honor of a veteran, when the Honor Bell Foundation is unable to participate in a funeral service outside our service area.
