PROFILE OF A BELL HONOREE: ANNA MARSH

We have been performing Bell Honors for veterans with the Honor Bell nearly every day for the past six weeks and wanted to start sharing some stories of the veterans to which we have been paying tribute. This afternoon we tolled the Honor Bell for US Army veteran Anna Marsh. Ms. Marsh joined the US Army WAC (Women’s Army Corps) in 1944, serving as a Telegraph Operator. She received the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Meritorious Unit Award while serving our country.

Anna loved reading, crocheting, sewing, and baking. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed. She was buried next to her husband, Harry, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
